Important Legal Disclaimer

GlidePath Systems is NOT a Flight School. We are a specialized Learning Retention Service and Supplemental Student Notebook.

We are NOT a Part 61 or Part 141 flight school under FAA regulations.

We are NOT an "Official System of Record" or "Electronic Logbook" as defined by FAA Advisory Circular 120-78B.

Users are responsible for maintaining their official training records and flight logs in accordance with applicable FAA regulations in a separate, authorized system.

The "Supplemental Notebook"

GlidePath Systems is designed specifically for Cognitive Retention. Our platform acts as an intelligent companion to formal flight training, helping students organize their thoughts, debrief flights effectively, and retain knowledge longer.

Note: Data stored within GlidePath Systems should be treated as personal study notes and not as official aviation records.

FERPA Compliance & "School Official" Status

For users affiliated with University Part 141 aviation programs, GlidePath Systems operates under the "School Official" exception to consent under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), 34 CFR § 99.31(a)(1)(i)(B).

  • We perform an institutional service or function for which the school would otherwise use its own employees.
  • We constitute a "School Official" with a legitimate educational interest in the student's retention and performance data.
  • We are under the direct control of the educational agency or institution with respect to the use and maintenance of education records.
  • We are subject to the requirements of 34 CFR § 99.33(a) governing the use and redisclosure of personally identifiable information (PII) from education records.

Data Security

Data at Rest

All databases and storage volumes are encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.

Data in Transit

All data transmission occurs over secure channels using TLS 1.2+ (Transport Layer Security).

Student Rights

You retain full rights to your data. Consistent with our commitment to transparency:

Access:You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you at any time.
Amendment:If you believe your data is inaccurate, you may request corrections to your records.
Deletion:You may request the permanent deletion of your account and associated data ("Right to be Forgotten"), subject to any legal retention requirements.
